HOW TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer with the Wilton Link Scheme, please contact us on 01722 741241.

On request you will be provided with an application form. You will be asked to complete the form and return with two passport sized photographs. The form asks for the names of two referees who will then be contacted.

The chairman will then contact you to arrange an appointment. At this time he will answer any queries you may have and take you through the completion of the Debarring Service (DBS) form. It is mandatory that all new volunteers be cleared by the DBS. Even if you already hold a DBS certificate for other work it is likely that you will still have to go through the process again as certificates are not usually portable.

Once clearance and satisfactory references have been received, the applicant and chairman are informed and you will then be sent a welcome pack containing all the information that you will need to become an operational volunteer
