21st May, 1968.
Dear Sir/Madam,
Commons Registration Act, 1965
Register of
Common Land
(a) Big Pond
(b) Little Pond
(c) Bugmore Green
Register of Town and
Village Greens
Maypole Green
I refer to the Commons
Registration Act, 1965 and to the various
Regulations and Circulars which have been issued
by the Ministry relating to the registration of
Common Land and Town or Village Green.
As you may know, under Regulation 11 of the
Commons Registration (General) Regulations, 1966,
as Clerk of the Registration Authority I am
required to send a copy of each registration to
other local authorities in whose area any part of
the land concerned lies, and I now write to
inform you that a registration was made in the
Register of Common Land/Town or Village Greens on
the 20th May, 1968, relating to the above and a
copy of the appropriate entry which appears in
that Register is enclosed (together with a copy
of the relevant plan). Will you kindly ensure
that this extract from the Register is kept
available for public inspection at all reasonable
times as it is important that anyone who may be
interested should have the opportunity of finding
out locally the nature and extent of claims
affecting land in their area.
Would you be good enough to acknowledge receipt
of this letter and confirm that the enclosed copy
entry (and plan) will be kept available for
public inspection.
Yours
faithfully,
Clerk of the Salisbury & Wilton Rural
District Council.
Mrs. S.A. Read,
Clerk of the Grimstead Parish Council,
Broadmead Farm,
West Grimstead,
Salisbury,
Wilts.
