This page will hopefully explain why and how to register for Broadband Internet Access

Why? How?
  1. Because, if you accept that the Internet might ultimately be a useful means of obtaining information about goods, services and entertaiment then high speed delivery is better than slow.
  2. Eventually most BT telephone exchanges will be enabled, however, sooner could be seen as being better than later. There is no obligation implied by registration and no doubt prices will fall over time.
  3. HM Government is actively encouraging the widespread enablement of Broadband.
  1. Most ISPs will be able to provide a broadband Internet connection and should have a method in place to accept registrations. Does your ISP?
  2. BT can also accept registrations. Select either BT Openworld or BT Broadband as your ISP during the registration process. Click here for an alternative registration form.
  3. Register for a 'FREE' dialup account with either Plusnet* or Force9*, an award winning UK based ISP, that can be upgraded later to Broadband.
* Caveat emptor - please note that whilst the author has been satisfied with this service, some customers have not. See ADSLguide for a variety of opinions.
